Positions Available:

At Cabana, the Financial Advisor is an integral part of our “family office”, which seeks to deliver a full range of comprehensive planning, including wealth management, portfolio construction, tax and estate planning, business development, insurance, and annuities to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clients with an unparalleled, individualized experience with regular communications
  • Provide clients with a full range of wealth management strategies and assist with selecting strategies that are suitable for each client
  • Prepare and present detailed, customized client reports, including metrics on progress to client’s goals
  • Maintain a robust knowledge of the firm’s latest techniques, planning tools, and strategies, including its proprietary algorithm
  • Complete required training, obtain industry licenses (Series 65 and life insurance) and maintain continuing education requirements to maintain designation(s) and meet minimum performance standards established by Cabana
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of industry rules and relevant regulations, including future standards that may be mandated
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the management team and inform them of circumstances that require supervisory attention/review/approval per compliance guidelines and policies
  • Source prospective clients and capitalize on referrals


  • 5+ years of financial services experience, especially investment management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to identify clients’ optimal risk profiles, goals, objectives and recommend appropriate solutions/interventions
  • Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to source clients through prospecting and networking
  • Ability to work in an environment where the majority of your compensation is tied to your performance
  • Goal and results oriented
  • Excellent follow-through skills

Ideal Candidate will possess the following:

  • BS/BA/BBA in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • Keen interest in investment products
  • Outstanding client service skills, maturity and judgment in dealing directly with clientele
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Outstanding work ethic and willingness to contribute beyond the scope of one’s role to achieve team and firm objectives
  • Excellent attention to detail, extremely accurate and well organized
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to synthesize information, summarize issues and think outside the box
  • Sharp control/risk mitigation mentality with ability to know when to escalate issues
